ARTIST STATEMENT  

Clay has a way of holding memory, of touch, of time, of place, and working with it grounds me. My hands shape each piece with the intention that it will be used, held, and lived with.

 

I draw inspiration from the quiet order of modern design and the wild, rugged beauty of the Canadian landscape. I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, where the wide skies and open land taught me to notice subtle shifts in light, texture, and rhythm. Now making in Chelsea, Quebec, I carry those early impressions with me, layering them into my work, whether through a soft curve, a restrained palette, or the quiet confidence of a well-balanced form.

 

Clean lines meet organic textures; stillness meets movement. Every pot is a conversation between material and maker, between object and user. I'm always exploring, always learning, chasing that moment when a piece feels just right: honest, useful, and quietly beautiful.
