ARTIST STATEMENT
Painting
For Rosalie, inspiration lies in the details of everyday life — a beloved place, a fleeting emotion, a precious memory, a passing glance. Anything genuine and present feeds her imagination.
Through painting, she captures these fragments of life — soft, luminous, at times melancholic — and gives them lasting form. Her art becomes a quiet refuge, where emotions find color and moments are held still in time.
Ceramics
Rosalie likes to work with contrasts, whether by mixing earth colors with bright colors or by exploiting the power of black and white. This contrast reminds us the presence of this millennial art that is pottery, still present in our modern lives. An art that seeps into our daily tasks and can, if we pay attention, reconnect us with nature, which offers us the earth that forms our plate while filling it with nourishing food.
