ARTIST STATEMENT  

I make pottery that is meant to be used, pottery meant to capture the beauty of everyday life and everyday objects.  I strive for simplicity of form. A quiet surface that retains the beauty of the natural world.  I have loved digging clay from stream beds to glaze my wood fired work. Now I am making earthenware pottery with this wild clay as part of the cycle from earth to maker, to user of clay.
