.ARTIST STATEMENT  

I am a potter who tries to honour my principles in my work. With a strong emphasis on using our  abundant local earthenware clay, this year I am inspired by the clean blues of traditional faience, and my own children’s artwork. Evoking the innocence and charm of simple imagery, the pots bring to mind the sweetness of childhood. I also create rustic matte glazes that remind me of colours found in nature, and will be producing many porcelain and stoneware favourites from previous years.
