DÉMARCHE ARTISTIQUE

 

John Pagani est un artiste multimédia qui vit et travaille actuellement à Wakefield, Québec. Le travail de John s’articule autour de collections et d'objets trouvés.  Ayant recours à la photographie, le xerox, le collage et l'assemblage, il crée des oeuvres 2D ou 3D. Il est attiré par ces petits riens qui ont du vécu et dont la patine est éloquente et il fait le choix, par l’alliance de la peinture et du collage, d’œuvres intrigantes, de propositions inattendues. Il cherche à estomper la frontière entre réalité et fiction, plongeant ainsi le spectateur, laissé à lui-même, au cœur d’un travail atypique.

ARTISTS STATEMENT

 

John Pagani is a Mixed-Media Artist that currently lives and works in Wakefield, Quebec, Canada. John's work often revolves around collections and found objects which he uses photography, xerox, collage, and assemblage to create 2D or 3D sculpture. He is drawn to trinkets that have a life of their own and a patina that has a story to tell. He chooses to create work that intrigues and offers the unexpected. He attempts to blur reality and fiction thus letting the viewer into the unconventional work.
