My interest in natural fibers started 5 years ago. I became
intrigued with the beauty and versatility of wool, and set
about learning how to felt. Working with this earthy fiber
is a constant reminder of our connection with the natural
world.
Creating
felt is a very physical and tactile process which demands
my energy and imagination. I get a lot
of enjoyment from using the same basic material to make
widely different projects. I also enjoy recycling
all natural fabrics and objects and incorporate them in
my work. Whether sturdy and warm, or light and airy,
felt is a joy to work with and a joy to wear. Please treat
it with love.

J'ai commencé à m'intéresser aux fibres
naturelles il y a cinq ans. Fascinée par la beauté
et la polyvalence
de la laine, j'ai alors décidé d'apprendre
à faire du feutre, matériau qui me rappelle
constamment notre lien avec la nature.
La
fabrication du feutre est une activité tactile qui
me demande beaucoup d'énergie et qui fait appel à
mon imagination. Je tire un grand plaisir de l'utilisation
du matériau rudimentaire qu'est le feutre pour créer
des œuvres très variées. Qu'il soit léger
et aéré ou robuste et chaud, le feutre est
à la fois agréable à porter et
à travailler.
