Anne Creskey is passionate about wood firing. Her work goes
back to the ancient roots of ceramics. It is fired in a
wood-burning kiln to high temperatures. Her functional and
decorative pottery brings together a unique blend of natural
elements burnished by fire and ash. In this most recent
work elm, cedar and spruce harvested on her Gatineau Hills farm and slab ends from local lumber mills are used. One
of her most popular glazes is made from Farrellton clay.
